Muni Long Drops Hint of Mariah Carey Remix in Latest ‘Made for Me’ Release
Muni Long and Mariah Carey seem to be joining forces for a new musical project. Jermaine Dupri, along with Bryan-Michael Cox and Jordan XL, co-produced the song “Made For Me (Remix),” which features Carey. Dupri initially shared a snippet of the track on his Instagram, later reposted by Long. The video appears to have been filmed at Carey’s personal studio, showcasing a pink-lit recording booth and Carey’s 8x-platinum plaque for her 2005 album, The Emancipation of Mimi. Dupri, a frequent collaborator of Carey, played a significant role in crafting several singles on the album, including the Grammy-winning “We Belong Together.”
Expressing his enthusiasm in the Instagram caption, Dupri highlighted Carey’s captivating vocals heard in the background. After the long buzz, a date has been confirmed: May 21, 2024.
Who is Muni Long?
Muni Long, formerly known as Priscilla Renea Hamilton, is an American singer-songwriter from Florida. Initially signed with Capitol Records, she gained recognition as a songwriter, penning hits for artists like Rihanna and Ariana Grande.
Long and Carey also have a history of collaboration. Long co-wrote “A No No” and “Runway” for Carey’s 2018 album, “Caution,” as well as “Infinity” for “#1 to Infinity” in 2015.

The R&B track has garnered over 100 million views and maintains its position steadily at number 54 on Billboard‘s chart.
“Made For Me” has topped the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart for seven weeks and the Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart for four weeks. Prior to teaming up with Mariah Carey, Muni Long released several remixes of “Made For Me” featuring artists like Lil Jon & Kronic, BNYX, and others. She also performed the song at the 2023 BET Soul Train Awards, with her performance available on digital streaming platforms.
Muni Long is nominated for Best Female R&B/Pop Artist and the Viewer’s Choice Award for “Made For Me” at the 2024 BET Awards, where she is also set to perform.
