Mariah “All I Want for Christmas Is You” season has arrived early. The holiday classic returned to the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 17, with two weeks still left before December.

A powerful Billboard comeback

Billboard reported 14 million official streams during the Nov. 10–16 tracking week, up 29%. The song also drew 7.6 million radio audience impressions, a 333% increase, and sold 1,500 copies, up 7%.

Momentum continued on November 19. The track passed 3 million Spotify plays in one day and entered the platform’s global top 10.

The festive favorite has become a worldwide holiday standard. Its melody, warm lyrics and Mariah Carey’s vocals keep it central to seasonal playlists.

At the time of this comeback, the song had spent 12 weeks at No. 1 on the Hot 100. It first reached the top 10 in 2017 and topped the chart in December 2019. It then returned to No. 1 during the 2020, 2021 and 2022 holiday seasons.

The hit also extended Carey’s record to 91 total weeks at No. 1 across her chart-topping singles. She performed it at the 2023 Billboard Music Awards and received the Billboard Chart Achievement Award.
